Tuesday, August 24th - LIC Bar, with the Long Island City Jazz Alliance. Open Jam Session! Featuring: Anthony Cekay (tenor sax), Josh Deutsch (trumpet), Sam Trapchak (bass), Vinson Valega (drums). 9:15 - 11:30pm. 45-58 Vernon Blvd. Long Island City, Queens, New York. (One stop out of Manhattan on the 7 train - Vernon/Jackson stop). This is the kick-off event for this new organization that we're very excited to be part of! Bring your instrument! No cover

Sunday, September 5th - Hillstone Restaurant, with the Matthew Fries Trio, featuring Matthew on piano, Gary Wang on bass, & Vinson Valega on drums. 6:00-10:00pm. 54th and Third Ave, under the Citicorp Building. No cover.

Thursday, September 9th - 55 Bar, with The Vinson Valega Sextet, featuring Justin Flynn (tenor sax), Chris Bacas (alto sax & flute), Mark Miller (trombone), Matthew Fries (piano), Gary Wang (bass) & Vinson Valega (drums). 7pm-9pm. 55 Christopher Street (btwn 6th & 7th aves., Greenwich Village). October 2010

Thursday, October 14th - Astoria Beer Garden, with The Vinson Valega Group, featuring Matt Chertkoff (guitar), George Papageorge (organ), Justin Flynn (tenor sax). 6:30pm-9:30pm. 29-19 24th Avenue, Astoria, Queens. Tel: (718) 274-4925. No cover - just lots of beer to be drunk. From their website: "Since 1910, Bohemian Hall has been a part of New York City history. This is the last original remaining Beer Garden in all of NYC. Bohemian Hall is run and managed by the Bohemian Citizens' Benevolent Society of Astoria, a fraternal organization dedicated to education and preserving the Czech and Slovak communities in the area.
